Attorney Dr. Anja Schmorl advises and defends clients in all areas of criminal law, especially commercial criminal law and criminal tax law. She has experience in advising and defending national and international companies and their corporate bodies and employees in all areas of commercial criminal law and criminal tax law as well as fine proceedings. In addition, she provides advice in connection with the criminal law aspects of internal investigations and legal disputes under civil law.

After studying at Leipzig University, Dr. Anja Schmorl obtained her PhD with a doctoral thesis on the topic of criminal liability of aiding and abetting. The postgraduate legal clerkship she completed to prepare for the Second State Law Examination included a training station at the Criminal Procedure Law Division of the German Federal Ministry of Justice. Since 2020, she has worked as an attorney in the area of criminal law.
